veilside hood functional?

Default veilside hood functional?
Are the vents in the Veilside hood large enough to dramatically lower engine bay temperatures? I am thinking about getting a J's racing cf hood but the Veilside one is another option.

I know its fiberglass, but the vents should still lower engine bay temps right?
