Default Venom VCN-500 Nitrous Kit

I have bought a venom vcn-500 nitrous kit. It comes with WOT sensor, O2 check sensor, and I have bought a MSD ignition RPM window switch. I have a purge kit on order already too. The kit is a dry kit and comes with a 35, 55, and 75 shot nozzles. I have also bought new spark plugs and a walbro 255 fuel pump. Is there anything else that I need to buy in order to keep this kit "safe" as possible. I have read many, many posts about nitrous on our S2000s, but really couldn't find anything about this kit. I'm thinking of using the 55 shot nozzle, but don't know if this would be too much. Please help!!!

Curious as to why you went with Venom as opposed to a more established co (like NX, NOS or ZEX)?

Also, why dry as opposed to wet?

I liked the reviews on Venom. I also liked the kit since it came with such a small bottle (only like 12 oz). I called up the rep for them (can't remember his name now) and we discussed the kit over the phone. It sounded like a good thing. At the time, I didn't know the difference between dry and wet. I ahve read and heard pros and cons for both. I talked to a guy next door to me that has a '55 Chevy, and he runs a 150 shot dry and loves it.

a dry shot on an engine like this is asking for trouble. i would never ever ever run a dry shot on any engine.

do you have any way of checking your duty cycle on your injectors? i'm not sure how much hp the stockers will support, but if i were you i'd start off with the smallest jet possible. (actually if i were you i'd sell it and seriously reconsider putting nitrous on this car.)

okay... just lost all i typed because it came up server not found...

basicly... does it come with the venom ecu that controls the injectors? if so it will add the needed fuel to compensate for the nitrous. do not use the tap ins, soider (sp?) in the wires, the ecu also has a fail safe type mode that if it detects the engine going lean, it cuts off the nitrous. and i would consider running a step colder spark plug.

Yes, it comes with the ecu that controls the injectors. Even in the instructions it says it will adjust the amount of fuel needed. I am a car audio installer. Tap-ins suck, soldering (I checked the spelling) is always the best. It will cut off if it is running to lean, even if it is in the middle of spraying. That's why I'll have to tap into the O2 sensor. I've already looked into the spark plug thing and went with a step colder (Denso). Thanks.

that O2 sensor fail safe doesn't sound that fail safe. the narrowband stock O2 sensors are inaccurate and imprecise. i would not trust the life of a $5,000 engine to a narrowband O2 sensor.

but anyway, good luck.

- this is why I went with the OG nitrous, NOS... no bs, straight to the point, just got to know what you're doing..
- I was running an 80 shot WET without any fuel upgrades and that shit was fine...
- a DRY 50 shot should be fine, dunno about getting all complicated like most of these new kits trying to be all safe...
