Default vibration in vtec

I hit vtec in 3rd gear on the highway and around 7000 rpm there was this rattling noise coming from the front of the engine. i tested again and in 4th gear it is there also.

That noise you hear in 4th gear at 7000 rpm may sound suspiciously like a State Trooper's siren......

What grade of fuel are you using? One of the possibilities is that you are pinging from some bad gas! Our cars are setup for 91 octane or better. I have even gotten a bad batch of gas once from a cheap gas station and had a similar problem. ( I pretty much stick to Chevron now!) Also, check your oil level and be sure that it is full, VTEC solonoid likes a full oil pan. If none of the above works then come back and we will try again!

P.S. If it is bad gas, don't go into vtec until you run it all out. You do not want to blow the motor

hmm i dont think it is the gas because I use 91 all the time, from shell whenever i get a chance. maybe its the oil, should i add oil even after I recently had my oil changed.
