Default Vortech with E-Manage

Just curious if anyone is running with a E-manage/big injectors on a stock boost Vortech. What are your impressions, How long did it take to tune to get a usable but not perfect Map? TIA

Having just tuned one, let me say - pull out timing, lots of it, even below boost. I don't know why, but the engine wants to ping on the Emanage with the Vortech. Its almost like the stock ECU's ability to pull timing with the knock sensor is diminished. We got no detonation under boost, but plenty at part throttle??

More investigation needed, as this has not happened on the K-series emanage installations I've tuned, but just a piece of advice.

That's interesting, The whole reason I'm investigating the e-manage is due to detonation. I have the software for the Split Second timing controller, And after looking at the supplied Timing Map, It doesn't appear to be taking out much timing. After watching the Data off a PGM-FI tester, the pcm is pulling out timing from the knock sensor at low rpm as well.

You have to remember that even on a stock S2000, the ECU is always pulling out timing. Honda has an interesting way of managing knock sensitivity vs. noise level.
