Default Vortech SC guys...got a question for ya...

I also have a Vortech SC in my S. When I run the S really hard...from a stop light or from a roll...my oil dipstick keeps popping up. It doesn't stay seated in the valve cover. Are you guys having the same thing happen to you? Will that have any negative affect on my car/motor's performance?

Isn't just S/C people. Do a search on dipstick and you will see this is fairly common. Hasn't happened to me yet thankfully.

The thing is, it never happened before when I was stock...now I have the SC and it happens very time I drive hard.

The search for "dipstick" helped a little, but no one seems to know why it'd popping out. Just wondering if it will do anything to the performance of the engine.

Thanks!

I wonder if, during the S/C installation, you may have partially blocked the crankcase breather and this is why you're popping the dipstick now. Your dipstick hole might be acting like a crankcase breather. Have your tried cleaning the little rubber ring things near the dipstick handle?
