I am probed at the bottom of the collector before the cat - and the fuel curves above are very similar to mine except mine ramps up to even leaner conditions. I am guessing that the curve is a function of the FMU and that the fact that mine is worse could be because the timing box isn't working. I don't know how to do a 'before/ after' as the OBD2 is being fooled anyway so it may not change
All ideas are welcome!

I am so sorry to still hear of people having problems with their Vortech SC. <Knock on Wood> Mine has ran flawlessly from the day it was installed (a little over two months now). Thanks again Jeff and everyone at Evolution. I hope Vortech gets their hands around this soon!

Is the Vortech box looking at what the current timing is, looking at boost and adjusting accordingly? Or, is completely setting the timing based on boost? It would be interesting to see what the timing is compared to the stock computer (which I have posted).

Maca - If you had a vacuum leak to either the hose to the timing box or to the FMU then it might cause you to be lean and detonate at high revs, since both devices wouldn't be seeing the correct boost level. The FMU also could just not have a good spring in it and not increase the fuel pressure enough... There are a lot of variables to speculate about, but all things being equal, I'd be suspicious of the timing box programming, since that's the only thing that's been giving people trouble.

I have checked fuel pressure at the rail and I'm getting 600 pascals in boost with a slight dip at 8500rpm down to 550 pascals. The FMU seems to be doing its job within the design limits. As far as the timing box this is my area of concern. I believe that if fuel pressure is within the design limits Vortech used then it is most likely a timing issue. I am running 98/99 octane unleaded which is standard in Europe. I have a MY2000 car. Vortech need to solve this as mines the first in Euope and they aren't going to sell any over here unless they can solve this issue. I will search on your timing thread as this is data that I have been trying to find to compare to what I am seeing.
