If you want overall power, then turbo is the way to go. They are both really nice. If i were to choose, i would pick the Speedcraft turbo over the Vortech supercharger.

You may have noticed that the S2000 lacks low-end power, to remedy this, go with Speedcraft. Superchargers don't reach full boost until about redline. If you don't mind waiting for the boost and you want a 'bolt-on kit' with minimal tuning, go with the S/C.

Supercharger - Is $4300, easier to install, doesn't really make any hp until 3500RPM, and is linear hp (goes up with revs).

Turbo - Is $6200, more hp (especially at lower RPM's), harder install.

Please post ANY evidence of any of the superchargers making power at or near 3500 RPM's... I'm sure all of us would be very interested to see what supercharger you're talking about that costs $4300 and makes power at 3500 RPMs. Please don't chime in unless you know what you're talking about.

Looking at their dyno one could say that they make power as low as 3500rpm. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/images...es/s2k_dyno.gif

Be nice to fellow members!

I have yet to see a REAL dyno of a Vortech Supercharged car. If you think that's a REAL dyno chart I have a couple of pieces of property I'd like to sell you. I've seen some anemic S2000 dynos in my day but 160 RWHP stock... that's gotta be something else. I've never seen a stock S2000 dyno lower than the 190ish RWHP... if you're going to post stuff at least post something that's real. Neither of the supercharger set ups should make any significant power until VTEC where as the SC turbo is making power around 3500 RPMs... the torque discrepancy is huge between the turbo and supercharger as well. I would really like to see a turbo S2 run a supercharged S2 and settle this debate once and for all. I tried to get a few of the SC'ed S2's to run me at NOPI last year but all they had were excuses.

I personally have been battling with this very question for the longest time. I've done hours of research and have concluded that atleast for me, The turbo set up is the way to go. I just wanted a car that had more low end punch that I can eventually track. plus after owning a Supra there is absolutley nothing that replaces that SSSSSSSWISHHH KERCH!!

Derryck,

The Dyno Vortech used was a mustang dyno which produces lower numbers than the typical dynojet. S2KTroup dyno'd his Vortech on a Dynojet. This is not tuned yet.

I agree the turbo will produce better low-end power than the SC, but some people can't get the turbo because of different reasons(Money, CARB cert., etc...)
