Default VSA and SRS light problem

Hey guys,

I have been searching the forums and Google forever now trying to fix my Christmas tree dash on my 2007 S. I recently installed a Nardi steering wheel and had to disconnect the airbag. I also had to remove the SRS real to clear the NRG short hub. I know if you trick the car into thinking the airbag is still there, it should all run like normal. However, I have tried using two 2.2 OHM 5 watt resistors in the 4-wire airbag plug side by side to trick the car into thinking the airbag is still there and my VSA, SRS, and caution light (triangle with !) are all still on. I followed the procedure on resetting the SRS light with the plug by the fuse box. My problem is after the SRS light flashes two times (a sign that it has been reset) the light stays on when its suppose to turn off. I turn the key off and wait the 10 seconds before plugging the plug back in and then try starting the car back up, all lights still on. Can anyone please help me figure out how to trick the car into thinking the airbag is still present. And also how to get rid of these darn lights!
