vtec kick

True, depending on what kind of oil is in the engine, I've noticed different kinds of VTEC kick. Whatever oil the car had when I got it gave the car quick a noticeable kick. I've had a plethora of different synthetics in the engine since, and it's quite a bit less noticeable now. 92.000km on the clock.

A friend of mine with a newish Civic Type R told me that his i-VTEC kick is more noticeable!

I have an '03, and when it was new there was a very small kick when engaging VTEC. I just got done with the installation of my Comptech intake, exhaust and Fujitsubo header. The VTEC kick is more like a slingshot now! In stock form, the car seems to engage more smoothly. If you're looking for a more abrupt sensation, try adding an intake. It made the biggest difference of any of the mods I just installed.
