It engages when you dial someones number, or when it rings and you answer it.

Just so you know NYCS2, the reason for Skorpion's answere is because Vtech is a communications company. I think what you mean is VTEC.

It engages @ 900 MHZ or some model 1.8 GHz.

Good choice, man. Vtech is hella cool for a phone manufacturer!

Not that straight forward, at WOT yes ~6000rpm, but at partial throttle openings sometime it doesn't switch over till well past 7000rpm.

It's more a matter of MAP than of throttle position. At WOT at high elevations VTEC will also be delayed, and I've noticed VETC engagement changes when the weather changes.

Interesting Josh, didn't think of it that way (although it make good sense) but I could swear I've seen my MAP fully saturated at partial throttle (SC'd) and still saw the delay ........ I'll pay close attention to it on the way home and report my findings.
