I heard that after putting in the water injection, you have to tune the car. otherwise, it doesn't do anything.

I prefer Glenfiddich and water. Works great as long as they don't give your S a breathalizer test. And it's really trendy too

Some of the late model blower Mustang guys are using a methanol/ water mix using the Snow Performance, Boost Cooler kit. On some documented V-8 applications, increases of 80 RWHP and 100lbs of torque have been reported. The kit injects a 50/50 mix of methanol & H20 into the blower discharge tube, just in front of the throttle body. The cooling effect, along with the increase in overall octane from the methanol, allows large increases in timing, with big HP gains. Some guys have tried windshield washer fluid, although the percentage of methanol in store bought mixes can be rather inconsistant, thus putting head gaskets, (or worse) at risk, with real aggresive timing. I'll be installing a Snow kit on my blown Mustang early next year.

Water injection is pretty much worthless in a non-turbo non-supercharged S2000, unless you want to make all of your power by increasing your timming. If you just slap a WI kit on your car without tunning no real HP gains will be seen, but your car will burn cleaner and you could eat off of your internals.
If you are force inducted WI allows you to increase your boost while keeping your engine at the proper temps to prevent detonation. This is where big HP gains can be made cause you can increase boost and timming. Anybody who tunes turbos or superchargers will tell you whenever you can increase both timming and boost can make serious gains.

woah awesome results and ingenuity hecash! I lvoe the cheap way of doing things

the only thing I am woprried about w/ a water cooled system is running out of fluid. Running WC you would prettty much have to check your windshield fluid everyday or maybe every drive. or was the draw not that bad?

also, what about adding WC to an air to air IC setup? decrease temps even more? or would it not be worth it?

I'd love to see pictures Hecash. This is something I would add more for the safety aspect.

For those interested in more info check out www.snowperformance.net. Kit is available with a 2 gallon reservoir, with a low level warning light available. I think I read in one of the Mustang magazines that they did 12 full dyno pulls and used only 1/8 of the reservoir.
