Starting to hear that rsx type s and s2k cams are interchangeable?!? This is coming from a VERY knowledgeable source. I`d say this is complete bullshit if I heard this from anybody else.

I would say no just form the arangment of the engines. Of course anything is possible but I believe that there is a substancial difference in the design of the K20 and F20 motors. Also with the I Vtec facotored in I would say shanagins.

 

Maybe the cores? Definitely not the gears.

 

There are similarities, but they're not interchangeable! the RSX intake cam VVT so the cam is longer. It won't fit the S2000 head.

 

The cam cores are the same diameter. The cam caps from the F20C head fit the RSX-S head perfectly. But i do believe there is a length issue. I would suggest contacting Toda/AKH as they've actually tested some RSX-S cams from Toda according to my sources.

I think this is BS.
Simply look at the Honda engine code. RSX S reads K20,
S2000 reads F20. K-series is not interchangable with F-series.
It's how like you wouldn't put a D16 cam into a B16 motor would
you?
