Default Weird Clutch Problem

Well I found this very interesting and quite weird and cant figure out what the hell is wrong, basically when a driver applies the clutch and put the car in gear and releases the clutch without giving any gas the car usually stalls and dies right? Well when i do that my car continues running...weird right? sounds like the clutch is stuck disengaged which basically means that if its stuck i should be able to start the car without applying the clutch right? well i cant...

If you have any ideas of what is wrong or know what is wrong please let me know

You cant start it without the clutch, it has a switch that prevents that.

My best guess...you have a mis-adjusted clutch master cylinder rod under the dash, and the system is holding pressure.
