Hey everyone,

Last few nights driving home I was going about 68-70 mph when I felt the car kinda jump...a little hard to explain. It felt like I stepped on the gas for a very quick second, but I didn't. It's only happened when going that speed two nights in a row. I can hear the engine sound different when it does this. what does a car sound like when it almost skips a tooth on the timing belt, well I guess timing chain, if thats possible.

Also, anyone have an annoying clicking sound every few cycles when the windshield wipers are on auto? It's sooo annoying.

 

Most likely the jump you are experiencing is a misfire.
Yeah I'm pretty sure the clicking is normal, focus on it less and you will get used to it.
Did you just get this car?

 

If it had skipped a tooth on the timing chain, the problem wouldn't be manifesting for "a very quick second". I'm guessing you might have a malfunctioning throttle position sensor.

 

it for sure happens at 70 mph +. I'm gonna change my plugs and see if that fixes it

 

Any cel? if its that prominent it should throw a cel I would imagine. ap1 right?
