Weird noise up front when hitting bumps.
Just installed some springs Saturday, but have been noticing this for the past couple thousand miles.
When going over some bumps, even slowly, I hear a weird noise up front. It's a little hard to describe, not a clicking, not really a popping, but something just doesn't seem like it's supposed to be happening.
Possibility my shocks could be going? (not from new springs as they're not even a day old)
Anything else I should be looking for? It's only happening in the front and I have to figure out what it is.

I had an odd noise over bumps for awhile, realised it was some loose AC lines that were left after AC uninstall...
I thought some noise was normal when your springs were still settling, but if you don't think that's what it is I got nothing...

Hmm, maybe I should check the lines. I took my a/c core out almost a year ago and maybe I overlooked something when putting it back in.
Doubt it's the springs settling as it's been making the noise since before my spring install.

Stock sway bar, only the springs are aftermarket as far as suspension goes.
Told my dad it has a clunking noise, he's wondering if maybe the shocks are already starting to bottom themselves out or fade. Car has 48.5k miles and I would've thought stock shocks should last a lot longer than that.

Do you notice any fluid comming out of the struts (oil)? Have you been able to pinpoint the noise to one area/side of the car? I would check you sway bar and end-links, some times the bushings go bad or the end link gets loose. Good luck.

45k doesn't sounds like alot, but i am sure 45k in california will be very different from 45 k in detroy road, factor in driver habit and how the car was used, the 45k doesn't really means a whole lot.
some pointer:
the noise is probably from a loose bolts and nuts, make sure you preload bolts.
check the fuel neck, if you happen to remove/loosen it
check the alignment bolts
