Weird noise when in lower gears
Hi all,
I have a 2007 S2000. No engine/ exhaust mods. Recently I noticed a continuous mechnical sound (that sounds like a turbo spooling up) that's accentuated with acceleration, especially in lower gears. In higher gears, the sound still exists but diminishes. When pop in neutral, the sound disappears at instant and is gone completely. However, if I rev in neutral the sound would come back.
I brought it to the dealership today. They checked the heat shield, the exhaust etc etc and concluded nothing is wrong.
Anyone have similar experience. The sound is driving me nuts when I have my top up.
Any help/ opinion is appreciated.
Thanks, D
