Hello guys,

I have a problem on my S that I am trying to figure out. Heres the thing:

Every day, the first time that I start up the car (after leaving it overnight), after pressing on the start button, the engine first chruns over (the usual sound, but maybe slightly softer), and then starts.

However, after about the 2nd churn, i get this very weird low "bogging, grumbling" sound. When this happens, the whole car shakes as well (more so than during startup). It sounds as if the engine is struggling to start and is fighting the bogging or something along those lines (I am not sure what really is going on).

For the rest of the day, every startup is fine. Just the first one of the day. Anyone know what may be the problem?

I believe that my battery is stock OEM since when i bought the car, and I do have an aftermarket alarm system on the car.

o yea, btw.the temperature has been the same for the past few weeks, so I don't think its the variation in temperature that is messing with the ecu.

Anyone can help me out?

From what I've read the OEM battery is most definitely not the best. That would be my first suspect. I'd try swapping out the battery to test; you can always return it if it's not the problem...

 

mine has been doing the same thig for the last 3 or 4 days.

 

Check your engine mounts. Mine were broken and my engine was shaking while idling, though it didn't shake and make wierd noises on start up.
