as i slow there. there is an pulsing noise coming from the rear. sorts of remind me of like a spring getting compressed and let go. the sound gets louder and louder as the car goes slower. any where i should start to look at first?

 

Can you feel it through the brake pedal? Might be a warped rotor. Jack the rear of the car up and spin the wheels (make sure out of gear and parking brake off). Can you feel it dragging?

It might also be a bad wheel bearing. With the rear jacked up, grab the top and bottom of the tire. Try to wiggle back and forth. If you can wiggle it, then the bearing is bad.

 

there is a new sound now after driving it some more. its a none stop clicking noise if i am off the gas. could it be the axles?

 

axle bolts need to torqued. does it doin a clicking like CV axles clicking o is it a once when you tke of then one when you reverse ?? Could be the rear axles or the bolts that hld the axle to the rear diff

 

clicks when i slow down until i am completely stopped

 

any other ideaS?

 

did a brake job and checked all the axle bolts. still present.... how much forward and back play is there on the driveshaft?
