Default weird tranny noise?

So I'm not quite sure if this is from the tranny or not but it sounds like its coming from there. Anyways the problems first started with a notchy 2nd gear, then a notchy 1st gear, then the clutch pedal started to intermittingly feel like its grinding when I press down on the clutch pedal, then 3rd gear got a tiny bit notchy, and then recently I started getting this weird noise, sounds like chattering/squaking noise at idle, in gear decel and accel at random times. All of this happening within 2-3k of mileage. The clutch fluid was recently changed about 4k ago with valvoline dot 4 brake fluid and the tranny fluid was changed 1k ago with gm schromesh friction modified. So what you guys think?

Is your clutch setup OEM?
Was there any metal shavings when the old fluid was drained?

I actually did the tranny flush twice, the first being 4k ago and the later 1k ago. Both times didn't have any metal flakes from what I saw. Also I'm not sure about the clutch being oem or not. Supposedly the clutch was changed with an oem disc by the previous owner but I don't think it was done. Could it be clutch chatter or something to do with the throwout bearing?

I just learned about this in my manual transmittion class and i would say throwout bearing or chatter. take apart the clutch assembly and you should be able to find the problem.

so went to the mech today and at first he thought it was a heatshield. he tinkered around and we pretty much isolated the problem to something to do with the catalytic converter. at around 2900 rpm we can replicate the noise. hopefully honda takes care of it free if its the cat.
