Default What is this?

I was looking over my engine today, in prep for some hard driving tomorrow, and I noticed something.

There are 2 hard vacuum lines that run under the fuel rail. The top line goes to what I think is a small in-line filter and then to the left of a black box behind the crossmember. The bottom line goes to a sensor which then goes to the right side of this black box. I just noticed the bottom line (to the sensor) is not connected.

What is this sensor / box behind the crossmember and is there a problem with the one line disconnected?

Thanks

NM, figured out what it was,

Sensor is the Air control valve, black box is air control vacuum res. Seems to be part of the air pump system during cold start. Since I have an AEM EMS, I guess I don't need these parts anymore? (I removed my EGR valve)

Exactly if you wanted to you could actually remove all that plumbing and the air pump behind the bumper. Hold onto it all though if you do incase you go back to stock

You'll throw a cel if you remove it without some sort of EMS.
