anyway, to the OP. Like others have suggested, if it bothers you that much, take it apart and see what it does or leads to. I have no Idea what it does and doubt anyone else will either, you could always push it and find out

 

that operates the ' ejector seat' like in 2 fast 2 furious

 

is it a button? can you press it?

is it a socket? can you plug something in it?

seems like a weird aux input connector to me, you'll find that out once you pop the console off (it's all clips, just work from back to front)

 

Take it apart and follow the wires it would only take a few minutes lol
