Either Denso IK22 or NGK PFR7G-11.

Either is recommended by Honda.

Stay away from Bosch+4, Splitfire, etc. they're marketing gimmicks.

BTW, the NGK was "factory fill" on my 2001 (manufactured 11/00)

Which is better, IK22 or IK24? What are the differences between the two (don't really understand the heat thing)?

IK24 Is one step colder. Wich is better if you are racing the shit out of your car. IK22 Is stock heat setting. If your car is moded up then run the IK24's,they will handle the higher heat from the upgrades you did better. I run IK24 in my SC. S, I could feel the difference right away. Hope that helped.

The heat range is determined by the design of the ceramic with the colder plugs transferring more heat away from the tip. Plugs are chosen to use the hottest tip possible without causing detonation because too cold a tip will eventually foul. For average driving the 22 heat range is what you want to stick with, the 24 might be better for hard running but could eventually carbon up with moderate use. Performance between the two heat ranges will not be different since the only difference is a couple of millimeters of ceramic.

joe_s2k- I read through it. The plug it self is colder, so it can handle the heat of the moded car. The 22 gets hotter faster. Right
