What could cause this?

I have been using max performance summer tires. Until recently, Bridgestone S04. Yesterday I installed a new set of Continental Extreme Contact Sports. Hard to imagine I need new bushings - I bought the car last year with 8.5K miles - it has 26K now.

I'd imagine when he replaced the bushings he had an alignment done, which is really what saved his tires. AP1s run more rear toe in the rear so they eat tires quicker.

See alignment sheet attached.
Tire rack tells me the Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires can be rotated right to left. They have asymmetrical tread, but they are not "directional" tires. In my youth I somehow got it in my head that you should rotate radial tires, but not left to right. I guess that is not the case with these tires. That might eek out few more miles.

You are more likely to accelerate harder through a left hand turn than a right hand turn. Reason being, it's likely all mental, if you go wide through a left hand corner you wont cross traffic, go wide on a right hander ........ you may be in someone else lane.
Very common on motorcycles, you'll see people taking lefts WAY harder than rights.
