Default what could be the problem?

when i first bought my s2000 in the summer of 2007, i dog it out and felt the vtech and redline fuel cutoff. then in october of 2007 i bought a alarm system and was put on by the shop that i bought the alarm system from. i haven't dog it since then assuming everything was good. this past friday (feb. 15,2008) i decided to take it up to redline but my car would only bog at 7000 rpm. i don't know what is the problem. there's no code signal shown in my cluster nor giving me any driving problem. only when i try to take it up to redline. even does the vtech not work. what should i do. im thinking about talking to the shop and see if they did anything to it but has anyone had this problem before. let me know... thanks

[COLOR=red] THANKS GUYS FOR ALL YOUR INPUTS. HIGHLY APPRECIATED. I FOUND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. I JUST HAD TO GET MY TEMP. UP TO THE REQUIRED TEMP. THANKS AGAIN. LETHALS2000

Your engine was probably not warmed up yet.

i thought of that to but when i drove it around town for a while until temp. got hot. i did it again, and again it did it again. my car is basically brand new. its a 2001 model but it only has about 18500 miles on it. im thinking the shop did something to it or maybe disconnect something.

Check your oil. Make sure it is not low. VTEC well not engage if your oil pressure is low.

East Quogue. I haven't heard that address in a long time. I moved out long ago. Came down south. Much more S friendly.

well if its not the oil level then maybe they cut into vtec wires or something to get power or ground to the alarm?

I had the same symptom. The problem was the mapsensor connection.
