What do you guys think?
It could be since from everythign i understand the problem it causes is lack of cooling and lubrication on cylinder number four. Well if your runnign boost those conditions are much higher at 9K then without boost. So it would like amplify the problem in my mind at least. Something to check on. It cant hurt to replace them anyway they are only like 40 bucks a set. I am gonna do it this spring! As far as i know none of the cars with the updated bolts are havings issues with cyclinder four.
I didn't know of the problem i wish Mike Simon would have told me. It has taken 1 1/2 years to build my car. He is the knowledgeable one and he never mentioned it.. Thankyou for the info..
Well, if your engine is being torn down, or already is torn down, you can check and see if the 4 jet bolts were installed.
I do not know the mechanics you have mentioned, but I am wondering why you didn't go back to the first mechanic if you were unstisfied with the initial results? By going to someone else you deprived the first mechanic of the opportunity to fix whatever was wrong. Maybe you did this, but just didn't include that fact in your post?
Did the second mechanic do anything to the engine that you tried out before he tore down the engine and found the first bad piston?
