I had mine replaced with a ap2 knock sensor supposedly. It was black. now im getting a cel for a knock sensor. I have a ap1 and it was a ap2 sensor. It still vtecs. I just want to see if he sold me the wrong one.

 

Stock knock sensors are green For ap1 and ap2. Both ap1 and ap2 share the same knock sensor but 06-09 have a different one thats smaller in length.

 

so all knock oem knock sensor for the s2000 is green? no black right? cause im going to have a word witht the seller

AP2 sensors may be black if they're 06-09 I believe. the 00-05 share the same one you sure you got the right one?

 

I was told that it was from a ap2 ill find out what year tomorrow. Is it that big of a difference that it will pull a cel?

 

i don't know, i never tried but given that they're different between 04-05 and 06-09, I would say yes it's very possible that they're completely different.

 

The Ap2 sensor i have came off an 07 and its green also. Just shorter in thread length.

 

If its not green, it's not tuned to the frequency of the s2k knock sensor. it will fit, but do not use it.
