This is the exact reason why I don't like these "Fram it before you slam it" type of oil filters. They have these weakly held, hard, fat-ass gaskets on them that can stick to the block when you're removing the filter NOT like the solf, nicely held, pliable, perfectly contoured type on the OEM Honda filters. My dad has a similar problem a while back when his oil filter flew off his truck while he was driving on the freeway because he had doubled up on the gasket when he replaced the filter. I don't know how the hell he saw the oil filter flying off but he did, got lucky I guess.
