Hey guys. I was just wondering what octane you all are running. My car is basically stock for now and I fill up with 92. To my surprise though, most of the other Vancouver people run with 94. I, personally, am not into buying the most expensive gas I can afford because I've seen people actually losing power with higher-than-recommended octane.

Has anyone tried both 92 and 94 and seen a difference?

Any inputs are welcomed.

when i first got the car and i was breaking it in, i used to best gas available. i always filled up with sunoco ultra 94 octane gasoline. higher octane gasoline are more resistant to detonation and burn slower.

right now, i just fill up with mobil/shell 93 octane and the car runs great.
