what is this part/sensor?

Default what is this part/sensor?

some very newb questions but...

what is this housing on the side of the intake manifold. It looks like a coolant related part and what is it's purpose? It looks like it routs to the TB, but I may be wrong.



secondly, what is this sensor on the far right side of the intake manifold and what is it for?


Finally, looking at the intake mani, there are a thousand and one vacuum hoses. What happens with them when itb's come into play? Are they all connected to the past tb flow?

There are also two giant hoses in the intake pipe right before the tb? What are they for?

the first pic is the IAC, as for the second someone else on here with more mechanical experience can give you a better answer, sorry couldnt help more

#1 is "Rotary Air Control Valve"
#2 is "Air Temperature Sensor"
