Default What is "Staking" a nut?

I have the axle pop noise and the honda technical piece says to replace the axle spinle nut, torque to 230 ftlbs and "stake" the nut. Googled it, with no positive results.

Anybody know?

It's when your girlfriend does this ritual on you. If you have to ask, it's prolly a bit out of your S&M level
