What is a VAFC Harness???
Hey Guys/Gals,
I have a question for you guys. What exactly does the wiring harness do. Is it something that just piggy backs off the ECU stock cables??? I'm very new to the world of VAFC's so I really don't know much. Any input would be greatly appreciated. If you know of anyone who has one please let me know because I really want to get one (as not to void my warranty) Thanks again.

The wire harness allows you to just plug the V-AFC into your factory wiring without cutting anything. It makes for a very simple install, and you can easily remove it when you take it in for warranty work. It doesn't seem like it is really worth the money, unless you are particularly scared of cutting wires. The V-AFC doesn't have very many wires.
I don't think you will be able to buy a new stock harness. You would probably have to buy the entire wiring assembly for the entire ECU / Engine / ABS / AC. The V-AFC harness is around $150, if you can find a seller. A V-AFC can't void your warranty, unless AHM can prove that it is the cause of the failure that needs repair. If your ECU needs repair, and you have a V-AFC, they would certainly deny the warranty on it.
