Default What Is This and Where Does it Go?

I just purchased a 2007 S two weeks ago and love it! I tracked the car for the first time yesterday and after the first session, I found this mystery cap/plug in the drivers side footwell. I spent the better part of an hour with my head under the dash trying to figure out where it came from. I looked through the owners manual and found nothing. I know it's not a really important part, but this is driving me crazy!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

hmm it doesn't look like a typical Honda part, maybe it's left over from the previous owner's kids toys. I'd hold onto it just in case someone here recognizes it. It looks like a plug but most Honda plugs just push in place, I don't know of any that twist off.

That's not part of the car. It looks like a battery cover, or the cover to a coin bank.

Whoa that came off? you really need to put that back on. It goes to the whatchamacallit, to keep the doohickey on. But with out that the thingamabobber might fall of.

Nah just like the others said, doesnt look like something on our car.

I just checked, the fluid in my headlights is OK so it doesn't go there.

I guess the mystery will remain unsolved for now.

$1.00 + PayPal fees to whoever figures this out!

Thanks for the replies and assistance.
