What is your favorite work light?
I need a new light for working under the hood. Recommendations? I'm thinking probably LED with a way to hang or stick with magnet and also a gooseneck type deal so you can aim it?
Or, maybe just use a headlamp?

Look up "bounce light" or bounce lite.
Super bright, lightweight, and indestructible. You can literally drop it from 100 feet it wont break.
If you leave it hooked to the undercarriage and drive off, the top hook has a breakaway feature.
If you drop it on your thin fenders, it won't dent or scratch them. Ive had mine before the S2000 existed.

I'm thoroughly invested in DeWalt 20v and 12v cordless tools now, it'd be silly for me to buy anything else.

I was good with a bounce light but the cord got damaged and a family member gave me a bright LED unit on a quality reel. Although it produces a lot of light it is directional and I cuss it often. I really want my old bounce light back.

I use my Milwaukee M12/M18 light. I don't work on engines day in and day out so I don't need a corded light. I'm a big fan of high CRI lights, especially when working with wiring and the Milwaukee reveal colors accurately. Nothing worse than trying to distinguish blue and purple wires using cheapo LEDs.

Cheap energizer head light and a cordless Neiko LED drop light, been using them for 3 1/2 years.

I'm using the Harbor Freight underhood light. Cordless, LED, high and low setting. Hooks and magnets on both ends (both almost useless under S hood, since magnets won't stick and hooks spaced too far apart). On/off switch on both ends.
Its bright, cheap, lasts a long time. Its Li ion, so it'll hold a charge for weeks and months, and run for hours at a time.
One downside is it gives no indication its getting low. It works perfectly and then abruptly dies. It won't light while charging, so you need to have a backup light, even if its just to clean up tools and pack it in for the night while its charging.
If you make sure its charged it'll last all night.

My favorite close-work, bench light is the LUXO with magnifying glass.
