I know most people that dynoed their cars report approximately 200 RWHP on a stock S2000. But what are the generally accepted range of what is normal. 195 to 205? Or is the range wider than that? I have a suspicion that my car may be down on power and plan to have it dynoed soon. The reason I'm suspicious is that I've never been able to crack 15 flat in the 1/4 mile. Usually I run 15.0-15.5 this is with clutch dumps from 5k to 8k. I had chalked it up to my being a lousy driver but this past weekend my son, who is an excellent driver was unable to achieve any better results. My car was properly broken in, no V-tec before 600 miles constantly varying rpm, then at 600 miles v-teced the crap out it. Is it possible my fuel/air mix is off? My car always IMO seems to run out of breath around 8k. Seems to take a long time in each gear to get to 9k. Any suggestions?

Here in FL we dyno'ed several S2000's last year and saw 185 - 205 rwhp all pretty much stock. I think the 205 car had a AEM intake. I think the rule of thumb is a 20% loss from crank to rear wheels. With that in mind, 192 would be normal.

Keep in mind elevation, and weather conditions can affect 1/4 mile times as well.

I can only run high 14's here @ 3800 feet.

Do you have a VAFC? If so maybe the settings are wrong. I am going to be dynoing at C&D performance here in Fall River very soon. Max is definatly going and a few others have shown interest. The price is unbeatable at $50/hr with wideband O2 readings. If you want to go, let me know.

No VAFC. Just exhaust and intake. I was thinking of going to ACS Racing in Hanover. It's a little more convenient for me to get to. What day are you planning to go to C&D Performance?

I am trying for as soon as possible. Next saturday is most likely when we will go, but I will have to be out of there by 2PM, to go to a party. Last time I talked to him, he said he usualy opens around 10AM on saturdays and can make appointments for us. Let me know if you are interested.

Once I get all tuned in, and have my nitrous working propperly again, I plan on making a few runs up at Epping on a Wed. night sometime. Let me know when you are going up there again.

Something is not right because stock S2000s should be running about 14.5- 14.9 in the 1/4 mile. You should get it chacked out by someone.

Bone stock, my car put down 195rwhp, and it was pretty warm out.
