Default wheel hop over bumps?

when going over bumps on the highway/local streets at a bit higher speeds, i noticed that the front wheels hop to the side and i have to kick the steering wheel back to straighten out the car.

as you can tell this seems pretty dangerous if the wrong situation occurs.

i'm currently running skunk2 springs on koni adjustable shocks on the stiffest setting.

how can i fix this? i haven't got an alignment since i installed the suspension, would that make a difference?

hopefully this is a common thing with the S and aftermarket suspension..

Thanks

-Nick.

It's called tramlining, and even stock suspended S2k's will follow heavy ruts/dips/etc.

The car isn't going to drive itself, don't let go of the steering wheel.

the concern is it isn't even just heavy ruts/dips.

i was reading that it may be the wheels toeing out as the wheels come off the road..

would stiffening up the front end help at all? (sway bar, x brace, shock tower bar, etc.)

I'd be lying if any of that would change what you are feeling.

thanks for the honesty

i guess i'll check the tire pressures and alignment and see if it helps at all.

Get the 4 wheel alignment looked at. Even if nothing has been touched/altered before, it's likely that going over bumps/potholes will knock the tracking out.

A decent garage will check it for free and adjust for a reasonable price.
