Default Wheels for 08

Are the 2006-2008 (AP2v2) wheels all the the same specs? In other words, can I use 2006 wheels for my track tires on my 2008 car?

Can I use the 2004-2005 (AP2) wheels on my 2008 car?

Thanks to anyone who knows and shares their knowledge.

Jim

The 08 wheels have a relief for the TPMS sensors. All other dimensions are the same.

If you put TPMS sensors in the earlier wheels you may not be able to balance the wheels correctly.

Earlier versions don't have the counterbalance relief for the TPMS sensors. If you take the OEM wheels with TPMS sensors off the car and don't reinstall the sensors in whatever set of wheels you are putting on you will have a TPMS light on. You can't learn more than 4 sensors.

Any time a TPMS sensor is replaced the sensor ID must be "learned" to the car by a dealer. At this time no aftermarket scan tool can learn the Honda sensors.

The car only knows it has 4 sensors, but doesn't know in what position they are in.

Thanks for the excellent information. Sounds like I can put earlier wheels on my '08, but there are consequences related to the TPMS.

I want to put new track tires on my '08 wheels and street tires on a set of earlier wheels that I'm going to buy.
I guess I could put my track tires on the earlier wheels and not use TP monitors when I'm at the track.
Or I could use the '08 wheels w/ TPMS at the track and not have TPMS with the earlier wheels when I'm not at the track.
Whenever I'm using the wheels w/o TPMS, I will have the warning light on. (Can I remove the fuse for the TPMS system without affecting any other systems on the car?)

Thanks,
Jim
