Default Where's all the coolant going?

Changed my entire rubber coolant hoses recently because many were old and cracked. I performed the Billman method to bleed the system and got very hot air coming out of the vents on a cold start after 2-3 minutes.

Mishimoto radiator is less than 6 months old, there are no more apparent leaks, temp gauge is normal.

I overfill the reservoir slightly above max in case there are a few little bubbles left to sort themselves out.

This was all yesterday. This morning the reservoir is 50% under max.

Where's all the coolant going?

Car is supercharged and I live in the desert. Ambient temps yesterday and today are a cool 100f. Is this normal or do I still have a leak?

Seems normal.

Water expands about 4% when heated from room temperature to 100°C -- normal engine temperature.

With 2.01 gallons of coolant in the engine and using water as a convenient liquid (I'm not chasing expansion rates for 50-50 coolant on one cup of coffee this morning ) that's about 10 ounces. The reservoir only holds 20 ounces.

If you are using silicone hoses expect some evaporative loss.

All oem rubber. Not a big fan of silicone.

I'll keep topping it off and monitoring for a few days I guess.

Only fill it to the MAX line. No need to add coolant unless it's below the MIN line.
