Swapping out the whole assymbley wouldn't be too difficult if you had the right tools, but swapping out the ring, pinion and end caps should be left to the experts.

I have always been careful..with the exception of six runs one night at the track while still N/A. Since the blower, clutch and other goodies, I have launched like a granny... I am running a 4 puck sprung ceramic clutch that is quite grabby...still looking for one that I can slip like the stock, but still clamps enough to handle the 351hp...

SO we can all agree that the solution to this problem is the Comptech re-inforcement, right? But while the assy is apart, what LSD whould be the best choice, bang for buck? -Or is a new LSD really needed with the Comptech housing?

How can you tell if you've just jacked the Ring and Pinion and not the more? I just started getting very bad noises coming from the rear on deceleration....making left turns seems to make the sound go away. Is this just the R&P then?

I did have a nail in my tire that reduced my right rear pressure to probably about 10psi....I drove it home. Could the slight difference in diameters from the psi difference push the R&P over the edge? If that didn't cause it could it have been the drifting I partook in after I swapped out the rears with a spare set.....nah, that couldn't have been it.

BTW--I do have a comptech reinforced differential and an SC.
