Default Who seafoamed their s2k yet?

Well I posted on honda-tech but people are that great compared to here so I figured I'd ask who has seafoamed their car yet, and did your spark plugs foul up pretty bad and how was the results after. and for those who recommend the Honda Top End cleaner, well they are discontinued. So who's used it?

I might be alone on this, but I really don't see the need and have not done it. I've over 100k miles and the car still goes like a bat hell of hell when called for.

The wifes lude was taken to Honda and they did the Top End Cleaning. Her mannie was coked up. EGR valve failure issues.

With a MY04 you should not need to inject any hocus pocus for some time, if ever.

I seafoamed my engine a couple of times now (first time ws around 40k). Feels great afterwards, the sound of the engine at acceleration and dec seems much better.. hard to describe, but i would say it sounds CLEANER. the spark plugs were not fouled though, but I changed them anyways.

IICR, doesn't it ruin, or at least do some damage to the cat? Some people run it when the cat is replaced, or just remove it.

I did it to my civic and it ran a lot better after. I'm doing it to my S soon because of the amount of carbon I see building up on the exhaust on a daily basis.

it does do something.. it just gives back what you lost.. you dont gain anything u didnt have before.. .. alot of people that clean out the carbon.. will notice a slight increase in throttle response

In older cars, it not that uncommon to push out so much carbon that it clogs the cat. this may be what your thinking about. I dont expect that to be much of a problem with a relatively new S.

You can also lose power on a really gunked up engine if theres enough carbon on the pistons to actually raise your compression ratio.
