Why coilover systems always make noise?

Default Why coilover systems always make noise?

I ask couple of my friends who have coilover system they all said it made noise over bump. WHY???????
Anyone know the answer?

What kind of noise are you referring to? My TEIN doesn't make any noise.

I have the Zeal B6's. Makes rattling and clunking noises when going over rough pavement. And yes, everything is installed correctly. Apparently these noises are coming from the upper pillar mounts. Not sure why though... I heard other owners are experiencing it too. But I still love my coilovers.

Most likely the mounts squeaking...is this what you are referring to? Silicon spray should help. If this is not what you mean, please clarify.

What I mean is over bump you will hear clicking noise or clunking noise. I think this is normal right? Most of my friends coilover have similar sound.

I had that noise in my WRX and it drove me crazy. It seemed to be the boot rubbing up against the spring or something. I prefer the stock ride over the 'dropped' look.
