a hair under 3 months ago I had my differential rebuilt because i broke several teeth off of the pinion gear. today I notice that the oil seal on the pinion gear at the flange is leaking. so I removed the differential tonight. I hope they will warranty their work or something. It looks like they didn't press the seal in all the way cause there is about a 1/16 inch gap between the lower differential case and the little metal lip around the oil seal.

 

Call them right away.

 

already pulled the diff last night. taking it to them this morning.

 

So is the new diff toast, or did you catch it in time?
