Default Why does my alignment change while driving?

I've had this problem for quite some time, now it's really getting on my nerves. Whenever I'm driving, even on a straight, flat, smooth road, my car will turn slightly left... then when I straighten up, it'll turn slighty right. Then it'll become straight for a while, and after that, it'll repeat itself, slightly left to slightly right, vice versa. Do any of you guys also have this problem? Thanks!

I haven't heard of that before. I'm assuming you're saying that it changes from left to right and straightens itself during a single outing? If it happens over longer times / distances, it might be tire wear, pressure differentials or road conditions.

Are you doing alignments yourself?

It could be a lot of things. The roads are typically crowned so that means your car will tend to go the direction of the crown. The tires can pull. The inflation of the tires can effect this as well.

But I don't think your alignment is changing while driver.

I don't know how to do alignments, so no, I'm not doing it myself. I don't necessary mean that my car always goes left to right to straight, but once in a while it'll pull to one direction. My tires do have very high tire pressure, maybe that's a huge factor.

some roads are angled in a way so water can drain off them, maybe thats why your carpulls to the side.

Mine will "tramline" from time to time. Its a characteristic of the car and tires. My SO2's did it worse than the Khumo Ecsta MX's I have now.

Try lowering the pressure to around 34psi and see if that makes a difference.

what is the tread ware like on your front tires? what tire pressure are you setting your tires at cold? like others have said, could be the road..

check your tires, are they showing more signs of wear on the inside that the outside of the tire? that can cause a lot of unusual stearing.

There is always the possibility that you road that you are on has ruts from heavy trucks. I have experienced this in the right lane of the NJ Turnpike and on highways while traveling in Poland. One easy way to tell would be driving on that road during a rain, and see if water has accumulated in the ruts making them define and prone to hydro-planing.

This is "normal" for the SO2s on certain road conditions, my car does exactly the same thing. In fact, I can tell you which way my car will pull on which sections of roads in my area. It tracks perfectly straight and true when I have my winter tires on though. I had to get used to the SO2s all over again when I put them back on, I had forgotten how they grab any imperfection in the road surface.
