Default Why is my A/C pulley too small?!

So I was wondering why my drive belt was all chewed up but I couldnt see that it was hitting anything. Finally, i got the car on a lift and realized that my A/C pulley has less ribs than the stock one. How is this? I have an '01 and looked to see if Honda had older pulleys that were smaller for that year but they didnt. It wouldnt have made sense anyway since all the other pulleys were wider (had more ribs). What do you think about this?

a/c pulley on an ap1 in the shop

my a/c pulley with the shredded belt (looks like it fits perfect missing a rib or two)

my a/c pulley from the top (again the belt has been stripped a rib or two)

I don't know why. Are you the original owner? Do you plan on changing the belt?

Im not the original owner and have no knowledge of who or where the orginal owner is. I bought it from another local shop in town and the car is/was in great condition all around. I replaced the belt when i first got the car because I had noticed the belt had stripped like that and just figured it was original and had eventually got old. When I put the new belt around the a/c pulley I didnt really think to look if it was too small. So it eventually stripped again which is when I noticed something wasnt right. I'm not going to change it just yet, because it will just wear out again on the lip of the a/c pulley. I dont think you can just change the a/c pulley either. Might have to get a new a/c unit.

Maybe I'll see if I can get a part number or some identifing info off of my compressor if I can get it back on the lift. Anyone familliar with a civic compressor-would it even possibly fit?

picture I found of my compressor--looks like it bolts up with no modification--maybe it is an s2000

By chance, could the belt be incorrect?

6 rib belt is stock.
if the a/c doesn't have a 6 rib pulley, something is fishy.

Yeah stock belt is 6 rib. Def something fishy. The part number is in the picture, it is the correct belt. I may just measure the belt and see if i can find another thinner belt of the same size.
