Billman as long as you're on here.....I swapped out an ap1 for an ap2 diff. I also swapped out the matching prop shaft for the new dif. I noticed that not only are the flanges different, but the entire prop shaft was redesigned. Is the prop shaft matched and balanced to the diff at the factory? Are you better off swapping both?

I'm assuming the larger flange and propshaft redesign is to take stress off the front of the diff housing?

You will now also have to change out the flange on the transmission too. Both ends have large bolts for the drive shaft.
I could have sent you the trans flange but, I just sent it to someone else You can buy a new one from Honda for about $35.00

 

No, it is not........The caps are a little different but, not reinforced. You will have to go with a Comptech for that
