Will car roll in neutral if the diff is broken?

Can you get up to second or third gear once moving?

It sounds like the diff is full of shrapnel, locking up when ever you try to apply power.

Im starting to agree, but why would it also make noise rolling in neutral?

So if this is true. You blew apart 2 axles and a diff. pulling out of a parking spot.

I don't get it. My cv joints on the pass side axle broke pulling out of a spot. Is it possible that the axles caused the diff to brea? I know it can break from putting the spare tire on rear. Maybe its because the one axle was ok, turning the weel, and the other was broken?

It is very important to keep the axles compressed when replacing...the CV components will easily dislodge and float around in the boot, till you catch them just right and SNAP....I'm really not getting what you're saying here...

Ok, I got word back from the shop. My diff is ok, but the axles I got from the driveshaft shop are wrong? They said they are the wrong lengths. They were able to fit the side with the broken axle, but they said the axle was too short so the abs won't work? I'm confused . . .

Is that a good or bad thing? My friend was an Acura mechanic and now works at an independent shop. Should the driveshaft shop axles be the same length as the stock one? Mine were both shorter than stock.
