Default Will stronger clutch avoid CDV and heavier flywheel?

I have read about the CDV and heavier flywheel in the AP2 and it happens to me every now and then in my 05. I realize that you can go back to the lighter 14 lb flywheel and bypass the CDV, but given the lower AP2 redline it would be harder to stay in Vtec with the lighter flywheel. Could you solve the problem by just installing a heavier clutch, retain the advantage of the heavier flywheel storing more energy, and stay in Vtec easier as well? Has anyone done this without bypassing the CDV or changing the flywheel?

just change the pressure plate, it needs more clamping power and that fixes the cdv issue. No reason to remove it, but I would change to a ap1 flywheel.

Id just remove the CDV, its easy. Its not needed if you know how to drive proper, its a hindrance for performance driving and it will prematurely wear out your clutch if you rely on it often enough. if your going to bother with clutch replacement, definitely swap in an ap1 flywheel or lighter. And you wont have an issue of dropping out of vtec if you lower vetc engagement via VAFC or other more expensive ems.

The ap2 has some good qualities, but these are not them. Some of the first things to modify.
