Default Windshield Washer Suddenly Got Very Weak

It had been working fine. My first thought was low fluid...but with just a few ounces it was overflowing. The motor works. Both jets are producing the same level of force so I think it is unlikely both clogged at exactly the same time to exactly the same degree.

Could it be a blockage? Gould the pump have become weak? How would either be fixed?

Thanks,

David

It might be the fill tube not properly seated into the reservoir. The two are held together with only like an o-ring between them so over time it can slip out. That happened to me except mine had come almost completely out causing anything I filled to just drain out the bottom of the fender. Don't know what the correlation is between the sprayers not working right and the fill tube being loose but that solved my problem.

Check the nozzles for wax buildup on the exit port. It's easy not to get it all when you wax your car.
And yes they can block up at the same time; when the car was waxed.....ask me how I know

I didn't wax recently...but the brake dust with the new Hawk Street Race pads is heavy. I g

The hose to the nozzles looks like it can be disconnected to test.. Otherwise, it looks like it is necessary to pull the fender liner to inspect the reservoir and pump.

My guess is the fill overflowed with a few ounces because it was clogged somehow. Maybe the reservoir is empty but the fill wasn't working. Not sure how it could have gotten clogged. And that is still removing the fender liner, which undoubtedly will need new clips as the 12 year old plastic ones seem to break when removed.
