Trying to replace the driver's side wiper insert on my MY2000. Replacement part I have is a 76622-S2A-003 and is 400 mm long. I have checked several sites and all list this number and length as correct. Problem is the one on the car is 450 mm long. Passenger side matched just fine. Arm and insert look 100% stock so I am majorly confused. Do I have some weird aftermarket length blade or do I have the wrong OEM part? Molding on the insert is the same style as the replacement it's just that the length is wrong. Any ideas?

There are two part numbers to make a set. Both are differant sizes.

 

I have a complete set with two different parts. The one for the passenger side fit fine. The one for the drivers side is 50mm short.

 

Are you sure you have them on the right sides? I dont remember which one is supposed to be longer, but the S is opposite of most cars.

 

It sounds like someone switched out the wiper. There is a 450mm on the passenger side of a 00 civic which you can try. We have run into this before for people wanting a larger blade then the 400mm.

 

That makes sense. I knew it was a Honda wiper assy I just never thought somebody would have changed it out for a longer one. Guess it's time for a trip to the dealer.

 

That is the correct stock part number - it fits perfectly on my car. Interesting idea about using a longer wiper blade.
