Default Wonderful clutch pedal

I noticed cleaning out the car this past week that a few of the rubber nubbies on the clutch pedal have come off. Since my car was at the dealer getting the ignition fixed, I asked the parts department how much a new pedal would cost.

Much to my surprise, they don't sell the pedal face. They sell the whole damn clutch pedal, at a cost of $100-200 (I think they said $150, after I heard the one hundred part, my ears just shut down).

"That's not all" the parts guy said, "look at all the work that has to be done to replace it."

I'm looking at probably $300+ to replace the damn thing. Lovely.

If it's still under warranty, that should be covered. The dealer should atleast do a goodwill if nothing else.

There was where I used to work, just depends on the customer's service history.

My car's been in four times in the past month getting minor crap fixed. I'll guess I'll wait a bit until it gets worse, or hit them up on the next oil change in a month or so.

My recommendation is to buy some new shoes with fresh rubber on 'em.

If you're really concerned with slippage, go to the hardware store and buy some stick on rubber bumper stops....may cost you $3.

There's no slippage, just my anal-retentive attitudes towards the car. It bugs the hell out of me knowing there's something wrong with it.
