wont go over 3000 rpm....?

Default wont go over 3000 rpm....?

my car just bogged out on me ! wont rev over 3ooo rpm if it reaches 3ooorpm it will back fire,dammm check engine light is on tooo??? top speed from 1st gear to 6 gear reaches up to 56 mph Tops out whats wrong with it.. any clue? all i changed was my clutch... what could it be ? any inputs out there
So far i checked Spark plug, its fine, what could it be ? miss fire cylinders? ecu false? is there a way to reset this ? any help would be great ! also... i was looking for the distibutor on the F20c motor... and guess its not control my Dist anymore... thought it was BAd rotor and caps but since did not see Dist under the hood... iam lost right now... any help would be great FUEL FILTER ? if so where is it located ?

There is no distributer on an s2000. If the cel is blinking (which i assume it is) do not drive the car have it flat bedded somewhere to be inspected or have the codes pulled and get back to us.

Thanks, the cel is not blinking. however it stays on it just happen about 2 hours ago, it just started to bog on me when i try to give gas... wont go over 3000 rpm, but i managed to drove the car home safe, by taking local routes rather than FWY. the question now is is there a way to pull the code with out using a OBD2 plug in system? like the B series where you can plug in the pin and read the flash codes.

Your car has gone into "limp" mode.
The best way is to get the code scanned at Autozone or Pepboys but this might help you out:

THanks, just got everything done ! It was Mine TDC valve malfunction.
Top dead center plug. FIX No more Bog ! thanks for the LINK !
